Job Details
The successful candidate will join our staff of 30 Pediatric Cardiologists, 20 Nurse Practitioners, and 21 sonographers in a busy clinical and academic practice. Clinical time will be focused on fetal echocardiography and fetal cardiology clinics, transthoracic and transesophageal and 3D echocardiography, cross-sectional imaging (MRI/CT), as well as general pediatric cardiology inpatient and outpatient care. Board certification or eligibility in Pediatric Cardiology is required. Leadership in scholarly activity is preferred.
Our team works closely with the Fetal Care Center and the Division of Maternal Fetal Medicine, with dedicated fetal care coordinators and a fetal surgery program. In addition to clinical responsibilities, an interest in teaching and research is desirable with multiple opportunities for both. We have an active fellowship program with 9 trainees. Research is supported by the Cardiovascular Innovation Center for Pediatric and Adult Congenital Research, which has more than 30 research professionals supporting clinical and translational research in our Pediatric and Adult Congenital Heart Center. Our Pediatric and Adult Congenital Heart Center and our Division of Cardiology & Cardiovascular Medicine deservedly enjoys a national reputation for excellence in clinical care and patient outcomes and experience. Our Pediatric and Adult Congenital Heart Center is 1 of only 4 pediatric heart centers nationally and the only program in Ohio ranked in the top 10 nationally by U.S. News & World Report for the past 3 years and ranked #9 in the United States in 2024. Our Heart Center was ranked #3 in the world by Newsweek in 2024. Our Heart Center has 30 pediatric cardiologists, 10 adult congenital cardiologists, 5 pediatric cardiac anesthesiologists, and 5 pediatric and adult congenital heart surgeons performing > 800 congenital heart surgeries, > 500 pediatric cardiac catheterizations, >14,000 out-patient pediatric cardiology visits, > 12,000 echocardiograms, > 2,000 fetal echocardiograms, and > 400 cardiac MRIs/CTs.
