Job Details

The Division of Anatomic Pathology of the Cleveland Clinic is seeking a full-time Pulmonary Pathologist to join our fully subspecialized high-volume practice. The section of Pulmonary Pathology currently has four pathologists fully dedicated to pulmonary pathology and is expanding the service to include a fifth person. The section receives over 6500 specimens per year, including a high volume of inhouse biopsy/resection specimens, as well as a large consultation service with over 2000 consultation cases per year. The pulmonary pathologists actively interact with the members of all specialties of the patients care team including thoracic surgery, medical oncology, radiation oncology, pneumonology, interventional pneumonology, infectious diseases, rheumatology, and are key participants in several weekly multidisciplinary conferences including interstitial lung disease conference, thoracic tumor boards, and radiology-pathology teaching conference. We are seeking Pulmonary Pathology fellowship-trained candidates with strong diagnostic skills and scholarly accomplishments in the field, with a desire to actively participate on a busy clinical service, engage in resident, fellow, and medical school teaching, participate in multidisciplinary conferences, and contribute to clinical and/or translational research. Effective interpersonal and communication skills, strong work ethic, and commitment to excellent patient care are required. A faculty appointment at a rank commensurate with experience is available at the Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine of Case Western Reserve University.
