PHYSICIAN ASSISTANT – Robotic Surgery

Salary Range: $140,000 to $150,000

You take changing priorities in stride

You stay calm and carry on when you’re asked to meet a changing or unexpected situation. No two days are alike in our peri-operative robotic surgical environment, so we need a highly skilled and independent-thinking PA to prepare our diverse patients, physically and emotionally, for their robotic surgery.

Better Teamwork Leads to Better Outcomes in our OR

Commitment to a group effort - that's what powers our robotic surgical team. It creates strong relationships among co-workers, which helps us communicate more freely and openly, ensuring patient safety and positive outcomes.

In collaboration with the Physician, Senior Staff Nurse, and robotic team, you’ll perform a variety of pre- and post-robotic operative functions and technical procedures to improve the patient experience, operational processes, and better outcomes. This will involve pre-admission assessment, comprehensive diagnostic, therapeutic, surgical, and preventative care and counseling patients on treatment and health maintenance. You’ll also assist physicians during surgery or complicated medical procedures, oversee surgical cases related to scheduling and medical clearance, participate in performance improvement, research, and educational activities, and advocate for and teach residents and medical students.

To thrive in this robotic-assisted setting, you MUST:

  • Be a graduate from an accredited educational PA program (ARC-PA) or equivalent as approved by the NYSED
  • Previous dedicated robotic surgical experience, preferably in Urology, GYN or General Surgery is preferred but not necessary, new grads are welcome to apply
  • Have current NYS PA license and NCCPA certification
  • Possess current ACLS and BCLS certifications

Our attitude of support will inspire the best in you

We regard our staff as more than “employees.” Here, you are seen, respected, and recognized for your efforts, and you will feel free to come to management for assistance and encouragement. Experience the inclusive, mutually supportive relationships that empower people from diverse backgrounds to become one team.
