Growing together. Life Strategies Counseling Inc, part of the Optum family of businesses, is seeking a Medical Director-Psychiatrist to join our team in Jonesboro, AR. Optum is a clinician-led care organization that is changing the way clinicians work and live. As a Medical Director-Psychiatrist, you will be providing psychiatric care in a direct, hands-on capacity while gaining valuable experience supervising offers and managing operations across multiple Life Strategies Counseling locations.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provides psychiatric care, medication assessments, and crisis response to new and existing outpatient clients
• Oversees clinical operations at 16 Life Strategies locations throughout Arkansas
• Develops individual evaluations based upon assessment data and provides therapeutic interventions as necessary
• Directly supervises APRNs to help them provide exceptional patient care

Required Qualifications:

• MD/DO psychiatrist licensed in Arkansas
• 5+ years of clinical experience
• Experience providing direct psychotherapy services to individuals and families

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in a leadership role
• Proven solid computer and basic technology skills
• Proven solid problem-solving and decision-making abilities
