Job Details
NEJM Group’s long-standing literature surveillance service, NEJM Journal Watch, is committed to helping clinicians stay informed about key research and guidelines that affect their practice. We’re looking for a clinician-educator whose primary activity and interest is in adult general medicine to lead our Ambulatory Medicine team.
Candidates must have an MD and should be clinically active (over 50% of their time) and have an academic appointment, excellent writing skills, and expertise in critical review of the medical literature. The time commitment is at least 5 hours per week, with daily or near-daily engagement; timeliness and editorial responsiveness are essential.
The Lead Editor will report to the Editor-in-Chief of NEJM Journal Watch and will direct the efforts of one or more Deputy Editors and a team of Associate Editors in Ambulatory Medicine. He/she will work closely with the Editor-in-Chief and other editorial board members on journal surveillance, content curation, assignment of writing duties to team members, and other tasks related to editorial development and oversight of NEJM JW and other content features (e.g., conference coverage, topic updates, expert interviews).
If you are interested, please respond with a CV, and with a cover letter outlining relevant current clinical and teaching activities, to: tdawson@mms.org.
