Central City Concern is on the search for a Medical Director of Primary Care at their Old Town Clinic in Portland, Oregon. This role leads and mentors the organization's primary care clinical staff, and sets strategic direction in partnership relating to all aspects of primary care services with the Senior Director of Primary Care Operations and Clinics, the Chief Medical Officer, the Vice President-Chief of Health Services, and the Office of Integration and Innovation. An ideal candidate would be an experienced Physician with a track record of building successful teams and strong community partnerships. An individual who is willing to lend an active hand and support team members. A successful candidate thrives in innovating, problem-solving, setting standards, and following operating procedures. A leader who can keep their programs and employees accountable, gain team buy-in, and deliver world-class care to our patients. The Medical Director of Primary Care holds accountability in partnership with the Senior Director of Primary Care Operations and Clinics for the delivery of all primary care services provided at Central City Concern. This role leads and mentors the organization's primary care clinical staff, and sets strategic direction in partnership relating to all aspects of primary care services with the Senior Director of Primary Care Operations and Clinics, the Chief Medical Officer, the Vice President-Chief of Health Services, and the Office of Integration and Innovation.
- Full-time Monday - Friday 8-5
- Average patient volume per day is 10-12 patients
- License to practice medicine as a Medical Doctor or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine in Oregon
- Minimum four (4) years experience in providing care as a medical provider for underserved individuals in a community clinic setting
- Minimum two (2) years experience in established leadership capacity within a healthcare setting required
- Preferred: addictions medicine certification, Spanish language proficiency, or willingness to develop these skills
- Must have full prescriptive powers in Oregon with a DEA number

Central City Concern's Old Town Clinic offers quality health care to all on a sliding fee scale in the heart of Portland, Oregon's Chinatown neighborhood. Clinicians provide both primary and naturopathic care, perform preventive exams, treat injuries, perform minor procedures, and provide and coordinate mental health and addiction treatment. Old Town Clinic, a Federally Qualified Health Center, is recognized as a 5-star Patient-Centered Medical Home.
