Adult Inpatient Psychiatrist - Per Diem

Yale New Haven Health (YNHHS), the largest and most comprehensive healthcare system in Connecticut, is recognized for advanced clinical care, quality, service, cost-effectiveness, and commitment to improving the health status of the communities it serves. YNHHS includes five hospitals - Bridgeport, Greenwich, Lawrence + Memorial, Westerly and Yale New Haven Hospitals, several specialty networks, and Northeast Medical Group, a physician-led, non-profit medical foundation with several hundred community-based and hospital-employed physicians.

Join YNHHS at Bridgeport Hospital as a B/E, B/C Adult Inpatient Psychiatrist on a per diem basis. This position is located at Bridgeport Hospital.
Our team consists of seven board-certified physicians and five advanced practice providers with specializations in geriatric psychiatry, emergency medicine, child and adolescent services, and psychiatry. We have a full care coordination team such as Nurses, Social Workers, and Physical Therapists, to also assist in the treatment and care of our patients.

The Adult Inpatient Psychiatrist will be required to perform team rounds, admissions, discharges, creating aftercare plans, and providing consultation services to the hospital. The Adult Inpatient Psychiatrist is responsible to direct the care of each patient in our 19-bed unit.

Located in beautiful coastal Connecticut, these areas boast wonderful family oriented residential communities. There is quick access to New York City and Boston with fabulous cultural opportunities, theater, orchestra, museums, and restaurants.

EDUCATION:

Possess and maintain a valid American Board certification in Psychiatry

Possess and maintain a valid and unrestricted state medical license based on requirements of assigned hospital and practice

BLS certification

Valid DEA registration and Controlled Substance Certificate
