Newborn Hospitalist opportunity in Newport News, VA

Responsibilities

Pediatrix Medical Group has an exciting opportunity for a per diem, experienced, Board Certified Pediatric Hospitalist to join our neonatology practice at Riverside Regional Medical Center in Newport News, VA to provide newborn nursery coverage:

• Coverage of the newborn nursery with 2,500 annual births and an ALOS of 2.9 days
• Responsibilities include attending deliveries and providing consultations to families and referring physicians. Residents and Med Students rotate through this site.
• Inhouse coverage with flexible options of 8-10-hour schedule Monday - Friday with a neonatologist or NNP covering on nights and weekends

Qualifications

• VA license required
• Board Certification in Pediatrics with recent Newborn Nursery experience required.
