Hospitalist in Prattville, AL

We are looking to add a day-shift hospitalist to our team at Prattville Baptist Hospital near Montgomery, Alabama. This position offers a flexible block schedule working the 7a-7p shift with our skilled hospital medicine (HM) team! Qualified candidates should be board certified or board eligible in internal medicine (IM) or family medicine (FM). 2025 residents and physicians requiring J-1 and H-1B Visa sponsorship are welcome to apply.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide inpatient care during day shifts, including admissions and rounding
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to ensure continuity of care
• Manage acute changes in clinical status and respond to medical emergencies
• Oversee the care of patients in a variety of settings, including medical-surgical units, ICU and telemetry
• Serve as a resource for nursing staff and other healthcare providers

Qualifications:

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
• Board certification or eligibility in internal medicine or family medicine
• Strong clinical skills with the ability to manage a wide range of complex conditions
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and make sound medical decisions
• Commitment to patient safety and quality care
