Trauma/Acute Care Surgery opportunity in Hartford, Connecticut.

Trinity Health Of New England-the region's largest nonprofit health system-is seeking a trauma/acute care surgeon to join our expanding faculty practice. In this role, you will provide surgery services for trauma, critical care and emergency general surgery within a high-performing Level I Trauma Center at Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center. Our hospital is a tertiary referral center for the region with a robust group of consultants and specialists.

The successful candidate will be BC/BE in surgical critical care, and advanced training in trauma/acute care surgery is preferred. This is an excellent opportunity to be part of an elite surgical group and to be appointed to the faculty of both the University of Connecticut School of Medicine and the Frank H. Netter MD School of Medicine at Quinnipiac University. In our major teaching hospital, you will have the opportunity to conduct clinical research and teach graduate and undergraduate medical and surgical learners. Surgery residents are present year-round, and experienced advanced practitioners provide ample coverage in all service areas, including the intensive care units.

Practicing in Hartford, Connecticut's state capital, puts you in the heart of New England. This small city environment of 125,000 residents offers a tremendous selection of welcoming neighborhoods in which to live, excellent public and private schools, great restaurants, shopping, music, museums and historical areas. The central New England location puts you in close proximity to New York City and Boston with easy access to dependable air and rail services.
