The Department of Radiation Oncology at Rhode Island Hospital, in conjunction with Tufts Medical Center, is seeking a Radiation Oncologist to join our Rhode Island based team. The position will include an academic appointment at the Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University.

The primary clinical responsibilities associated with this position are to staff a new radiation oncology facility in East Greenwich, Rhode Island as an integrated part of an existing and very busy multidisciplinary cancer center (including infusion, multiple multidisciplinary specialty clinics, and extensive support services). The Department of Radiation Oncology currently has a faculty of 12 radiation oncology physicians and 16 medical physicists. In addition, we have 9 radiation oncology (MD) residents, 2 medical physics residents, a medical physics graduate program, and extensive collaborations with the basic science divisions at the Medical School, School of Public Health, School of Engineering, and other Brown University departments.

Who you are:
  • ABR Board Certification/eligibility in radiation oncology and formal research training sufficient to prepare for success as an independent investigator.
  • The successful candidate must qualify for a full-time medical faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Full Professor in the Department of Radiation Oncology at the Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University.
