The Northwell Medicine Service Line and South Shore University Hospital are seeking BC/BE Gastroenterologists to serve as Hospitalists and join a growing Gastroenterology team.

Northwell’s Southside Hospital is now South Shore University Hospital. With $600 million reinvested, it’s much more than a rename. It’s a profound transformation, with changes you can see and experience. As one of the 50 best hospitals in the U.S. for heart surgery according to Healthgrades, we’ve expanded our complex heart and lung services, adding cardiac catheterization and electrophysiology labs, and we’ve opened a new neurosciences center to provide innovative neurosurgical and neurological care. We’ve also recruited some of the nation’s top doctors, so you know you’re in the very best hands. South Shore University Hospital is a 341-bed hospital with physicians, nurses, and staff who provide health care services in all medical specialties. Our centers of excellence include Cardiology, Orthopedics, Neuroscience, and Women’s Health.

Northwell Health is New York State’s largest health care provider and private employer, with 23 hospitals, more than 700 outpatient facilities, and nearly 15,000 affiliated physicians. We care for over two million people annually in the New York metro area and beyond, thanks to philanthropic support from our communities. Our 70,000 employees – 15,000-plus nurses and 4,000 employed doctors, including members of Northwell Health Physician Partners – are working to change health care for the better. We’re making breakthroughs in medicine at the Feinstein Institute for Medical Research. We're training the next generation of medical professionals at the visionary Donald and Barbara Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell and the Hofstra Northwell School of Graduate Nursing and Physician Assistant Studies.
