The Department of Medicine is seeking applications for a full-time clinical investigator track position for the Division of Hematology/Oncology at the Assistant or Associate Professor level. This position seeks an ABIM certified (or eligible) hematologist-oncologist with experience in managing patients with lymphoid malignancies, specifically lymphomas and lymphoproliferative disorders, and an active interest in the development and conduct of clinical trials. This individual will have a primarily clinical assignment focused on lymphoma and will also be expected to develop, conduct, and participate in clinical trials and other collaborative research involving patients with lymphomas. The successful candidate will have the opportunity and will be expected to collaborate in a variety of activities including subspecialty and multidisciplinary clinics at the UF Health main campus, cancer case, and research conferences, and clinical trials.

Faculty in the UF Division of Hematology and Oncology are members of the University of Florida Health Cancer Center (UFHCC), the only NCI-designated Cancer Center in North Central Florida. The center is also the only NCI-Designated Cancer Center based at a public university in Florida. The UFHCC blends comprehensive patient care and innovative research in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment, with members from 11 of the 16 colleges at the University of Florida (UF). UF is listed as one of the nation's top five public research universities, according to the 2023 Best Colleges rankings by U.S. News & World Report. 

Resources available for professional development at the University of Florida Health Sciences Center include leadership, education, and research training through support from the UF Health Cancer Center, Clinical Translational Science Institute (CTSI), formal mentorship programs, and supported opportunities for teaching and research.  Clinical research support is provided by the UF Health Cancer Center Clinical Research Office. Requisite attributes include a commitment to service, good verbal and written communication skills, a strong sense of teamwork and a desire to train tomorrow’s doctors.

Tenure accruing and non-tenure accruing tracks are available. Rank and tenure status will be commensurate with qualifications.

Qualifications:

Applicants must be board-certified or board eligible in Medical Oncology and Hematology and be eligible for a Florida Medical License.
