The Division of Cardiology in the Duke University School of Medicine is recruiting a full-time cardiologist to join our dynamic practice of 11 critical care cardiologists that comprises one of the leading clinical, research and teaching critical care cardiology groups in the United States.
The ideal candidate will be board certified in cardiology (critical care board certification optional) with several years of clinical and academic experience in a large-volume, high-quality academic referral center. Applicants should possess outstanding clinical, technical, and interpersonal skills. Faculty rank will be commensurate with training and experience.
Hired physician will have clinical, research and teaching responsibilities primarily in the cardiac intensive care unit (a 24-bed, closed intensive care unit in a tertiary/quaternary referral hospital caring for the breath of critical cardiac conditions and training both cardiology fellows and internal medicine house staff). The position will have additional clinical responsibilities on the general cardiology stepdown service. Candidates with interests and experience in clinical research, education, and performance improvement/quality improvement are preferred.
