North Carolina Orthopaedic Clinic (NCOC), a community-based faculty practice of Duke Orthopaedics, seeks an academic fellowship-trained, board certified or eligible Orthopaedic Foot & Ankle surgeon. This hybrid academic practice offers teaching and research opportunities for interested candidates. Hired surgeon will have a ready-made referral base of primary care physicians and a well-established pool of Foot & Ankle patients. The practice, comprised of 8 surgeons, 1 physiatrist, 1 podiatrist, and 3 physician assistants, is housed on the Durham/Chapel Hill border just a few miles off campus. There is physical therapy and hand/occupational therapy clinic adjacent to the practice.
NCOCs surgeons operate at Duke Regional Hospital (DRH), a 388 bed level 1 trauma center, and two local ambulatory surgical centers. Practice call consists of two weekdays per monthly and 1 in 8 weekend and holiday call. Though not required, the opportunity exists for reimbursed unassigned call at DRH.
The practice is located in the Heart of North Carolina's Triangle area of North Carolina. The greater Triangle area of Raleigh, Durham, and Chapel Hill, has a population of more than two million residents that offers diverse opportunity.
