PART-TIME CHILD AND ADOLESCENT PSYCHIATRIST, SCHOOL MENTAL HEALTH

Northwell Health is recruiting a part-time board-certified child and adolescent psychiatrist to join the school mental health team in Nassau and Suffolk County. We are seeking applicants with outstanding clinical and interpersonal skills who have a passion for collaboration and innovation.
This is a truly unique opportunity to join the growing school mental health service as a consultant psychiatrist in our partnering school districts to provide formal psychiatric evaluations in the schools on site or virtually. The consultant psychiatrist is supported by a multidisciplinary team at the Behavioral Health Center, which is an ambulatory crisis service that provides urgent assessments and short-term crisis care to the students of partnering districts. The clinical team includes physicians, psychologist, mental health counselors, care coordinators, and administrative supports. In addition to providing clinical care for students and consultation to schools, our team also offers professional and community education, curricular support, and care coordination to the participating school districts. Travel includes to our partnering school districts in Nassau and Suffolk county.

Applicants must be Child and Adolescent Psychiatry BE/BC. School mental health or crisis/emergency psychiatry experience preferred.

Salary Disclosure
Full-time clinical base compensation at Northwell Health ranges from $125K to $750K, which is impacted by various factors, including but not limited to physician specialty, level of experience, quality of care, academic accomplishments, patient experience and productivity. The base compensation range listed is a good faith determination of potential base compensation at the time of this job advertisement and may be modified in the future.
