Physician Opportunity
Baystate Health (BH), western Massachusetts’ premier healthcare provider and home to the University of Massachusetts Chan Medical School – Baystate, is seeking an experienced physician leader to join our organization. BH is a not-for-profit, integrated healthcare system serving over 800,000 people throughout western New England. We are one of the largest health systems in New England with nearly 12,000 employees, including 700 employed physicians and 400 APPs. We provide services at 119 practices across 40 sites of service, including our flagship academic hospital, Baystate Medical Center, and 3 community hospitals.
Position Highlights –
• Opportunity to join our growing Department of Clinical Integration in a newly created, innovative role.
• Provide physician leadership to guide clinical models and operations that enable seamless, appropriate, and timely access to health.
• Facilitate care model design to optimize both ambulatory access to care and excellence in ambulatory quality, safety, and population health by:
o Cultivating and facilitating clinical integration and front-line engagement across multiple stakeholders based on key health system priorities involving population health and orchestrated access to care.
o Serving as the clinical leader for ambulatory capacity management and the contact center to integrate the clinical perspective with contact center and access to care processes.
o Fostering and leading a culture of collaboration across specialties to implement care model processes, centralized and practice-based, that enable seamless, timely patient access to primary and specialty care.
o In collaboration with our Population Health team, serving as the provider champion to oversee the implementation of clinical programs, care models, and tactics for success in value-based care including quality, safety, and medical management such as hospital avoidance tactics.
