Job Details

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Establish and refine the SSM Health Enterprise Project Management Office (EPMO). Develop, socialize, and implement a supporting governance structure that enables the identification, selection, and pursuit of strategically aligned opportunities, with the ability to scale as needed.
  • Participates in the exploration and due diligence phases of the transaction life cycle with the Senior Leadership Team and other relevant stakeholders. Has a shared understanding of the organization's strategic objectives and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Designs and deploys best practices, including professional development of team members within the EPMO.
  • Oversees complex, cross-regional initiatives including structuring and managing programs, projects, overseeing the analytics process, helping to forge consensus among key stakeholders and ensuring adequate business cases to support the work.
  • Pays special attention to building cross-team relationships to manage cultural integration and applies change management principles to the overall EPMO work to ensure success.
  • Responsible for establishing the structure and governance model to sustain the EPMO and the associated governing bodies.
  • Establish the EPMO metrics and monitoring processes and tools to effectively monitor all enterprise level programs, projects, and integrations plans, ensuring key timelines/milestones are met and operational and financial metrics are achieved.
  • Develops, selects, and maintains data, analytic and planning tools and project methodologies, while collaborating with and leveraging resources of other related departments.
  • Educates stakeholders on EPMO capabilities and standards and leadership skills, working collaboratively with cross-functional teams and change management within the organization.
  • Commissions post project review and socialization of lessons learned, gathering information via in-person/virtual interviews with key stakeholders, after action reviews, and online surveys from workstream leads in determining and aligning on best practices to use in future initiatives.
  • Responsible for the recruitment and oversight of the EPMO, developing and growing capabilities of the workforce, leading day-to-day operations and annual budget, in collaboration with the System VP of Continuous Improvement.
  • Responsible to oversee and coordinate with all satellite EPMO roles embedded within other parts of the organization as part of the EPMO governance and implementation responsibilities.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.


EDUCATION
  • Bachelor's degree


EXPERIENCE
  • Ten years' experience, with five years' in leadership
