Job Summary

Reading Hospital is seeking a pediatrician to join our outpatient pracitice, The Children's Health Center.

Highlights:
  • You will join a group of well-trained Pediatricians who enjoy teaching residents and medical students both in the office and the nursery while caring for a primarily underserved population
  • The group composed of 5 Pediatricians and 2 CRNPs
  • The office is located on the West Reading campus just one block from the Hospital and less than one mile from the new Drexel-Tower Health Medical School
  • The office is open Monday, Tuesday, and Friday 8 AM to 5 PM; Wednesday and Thursday 8 AM to 6 PM; the on-call rotation will be 1 in approximately every 5 evenings and weekends, on average, with 1 st call Family Medicine senior resident coverage for answering service calls
  • Inpatient teaching rounds in the nursery approximately every 5 th week with Allopathic and Osteopathic Family Medicine residents and medical students rotating in Pediatrics
  • The hospital's Pediatric services include: around the clock in-house Neonatology coverage for deliveries and consults; a dedicated Pediatrics service in the Emergency Department; 24/7 Pediatrics Hospitalists; some ambulatory Pediatrics specialty services
  • A supportive administration that is providing the resources to grow the service
