Job Details
- Open dates to cover: Asap - Ongoing
- Desired Schedule: During week: 8a-5p.
- NEW - Will likely need provider to take 2 nights of weeknight call each week. Weeknight call is from 5p-8a. Usually for urgent, life-threatening situations. Frozens that need stat reads.
- Scope of Work:
- Frozen sections, surgical pathology sign out, cytopathology,
- 40-45 cases/day, Laboratory consultation, Histology, PA, transcription staff are on site.
- No Gyn; just Non-GYN Cytology.
- Call Details: Predominantly phone calls/Blood Bank. Most after hour frozen (which are rare) are known in advance and are just later OR elective cases.
- Work Solo: No. There will be another Pathologist on site most of the time.
- Requirements: BC in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology, Current IN license, Covid Vaccination.
- Department is not yet ready/set up for digital pathology yet. Still a Work in progress. So they do need folks who can handle frozen at this time.
- EMR/EHR system: Cerner
