Loma Linda University Faculty Medical Group, Department of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation is seeking a Pediatric Rehabilitation Physician to join our team.

Loma Linda University, and Totally Kids Rehabilitation Hospital, in the beautiful “Blue Zone” of Loma Linda, California, where more people live over 100 than most of the world! 60 miles East of Los Angeles, 50 miles from the beach or the ski resorts in the mountains, and 40 minutes from Disneyland.

Opportunities include: 

Inpatient acute rehab for ages 0 to 21. Including a new program for infants that are coming out of the NICU with feeding difficulty, delayed milestones, anxiety with handling,  

Outpatient practice:

Currently largely involving CP, spasticity management (ITB and Botulinum), but potential for more involvement in the multidisciplinary clinics, including the Home Ventilator clinic (SMA, MD, Severe CP), Hypertonicity/SDR clinic, Spina Bifida, high-risk infant program, and Muscular Dystrophy clinic.  

Education:

PMR residency program teaching opportunities.

Research:

There is support within the department of PMR for faculty to pursue research. The new Totally Infants’ Program at Totally Kids has the potential for multiple projects which are in the works already.

Lifestyle

Call: Currently call is covered by the pediatricians, including weekends. PMR is not the primary service. There is opportunity to help round on the adult rehab patients on the weekends with the resident.

Hours: Typically, 8-530 but Fridays are usually earlier  

Pace: Patient visit length: roughly 20 -30 for returns and 30-40 for new patients. This could be flexible for a new-hire.
