Assistant/Associate Research Professor of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine
Tenure Track Faculty

The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at Indiana University School of Medicine is looking to further expand its basic, translational, and clinical research programs, particularly in the field of neurodegenerative diseases. 

The department is recruiting for a tenure / tenure-track faculty position with interests in investigating the molecular, cellular, and especially neuroimmunological mechanisms involved in progression of neurodegenerative diseases, although outstanding candidates in other areas, like using human induced pluripotent cells (iPSCs) to understand neurodegenerative diseases, will also be considered.

Responsibilities: 

  • Expected to establish and maintain an energetic, independent, and well-funded research program.
  • Contribute to the educational, service, and/or clinical missions of the medical school.

Our Ideal Candidate:

  • Has a strong record of peer-reviewed publications.
  • Has experience and interests in research that will complement the Department’s strategic research focus areas (neurodegeneration and neuro-immunology).
  • Has an independent, and well-funded research program.
  • Contributes to the educational, service, and/or clinical missions of a medical school.

Minimum Qualifications:           

  • Terminal degree or doctorate degree in neuroscience or closely related field and relevant post-doctoral experience required

Additional Information: 

  • Faculty rank will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
