Practice Information
  • BC/BE Rheumatologist e is needed for a Faculty position at Intermountain Medical Center (IMC) in the Salt Lake Valley
  • Provides inpatient consultation for Rheumatology cases during pre-specified duty hours
  • Provides outpatient care to select Rheumatology patients with specific disorders (e.g. systemic sclerosis, vasculitis) or complex cases referred by other Intermountain Rheumatologists
  • Performs physician-specific tasks necessary to create, launch, scale and sustain a Telehealth program for Rheumatology which serves consultative needs across the Intermountain system
  • Executes research and educational activities in Rheumatology, including but not limited to:
  • Design and execution of clinical trials, implementation science trials, retrospective studies, and preparation of other scholarly publications
  • Providing undergraduate, graduate and continuing medical education in the field of Rheumatology
  • Securing intramural and extramural funding to support scholarly endeavors
  • Provides specialty specific review and consultation as requested by Select Health
  • Provide specialty specific consultation as requested by Care Transformation and Information Systems
  • Employment position with the Intermountain Hospital-Specialty Based Group, with the following breakdown:
  • In-person Clinical Care and Telehealth Activities: 0.7 FTE
  • Scholarly/Research Activities: 0.3 FTE

Requirements
  • Board Certified/ Board Eligible in Rheumatology
  • Unrestricted Utah MD or DO license or the ability to obtain an unrestricted license
  • U.S. ACGME Residency
  • B asic Life Support Certification (BLS) for healthcare providers
