The VCU School of Medicine Division of Hematology, Oncology and Palliative Care and Massey Cancer Center are seeking a Clinical & Translational Investigator with a focus in Hematology to practice at our flagship and satellite locations. This position offers the opportunity to be a program leader.

This position will be responsible for bringing the most innovative clinical trials in Hematology to the Massey Cancer Center and the VCU region utilizing intra and extramural partnerships. Ability to collaborate with Basic Science Investigators will be key in developing a translational research program. This position will be expected to establish extramural partnerships and pursue the Massey Cancer Center’s goal of offering our patients early access to the most innovative drugs in Malignant Hematology before they become the future standard of care.

Qualifications:

  • MD; Board certified or eligible in medical oncology or hematology and eligible for Virginia licensure
  • Clinical trial leadership experience
  • Interest in developing a subspecialty in medical oncology practice
  • Demonstrated experience working in and fostering a diverse faculty, staff, and student environment or commitment to do so as a faculty member at VCU
