Duke University School of Medicine is seeking an Interventional Pulmonologist at Assistant Professor level to join our interventional pulmonology (IP) program. This recruitment is a result of expanding our Interventional Pulmonology service in Raleigh. Successful candidates will be board certified/board eligible in pulmonary and critical care, received a one year additional fellowship training in interventional pulmonology and board certified/board eligible in interventional pulmonology. Duke University Medical Center has established itself as a premier academic pulmonology center and has one of the most successful interventional pulmonology programs in the country. The IP program receives referrals locally, regionally and nationally for diagnosis and management of lung cancer, airway obstruction, pleural diseases and interventions for asthma and COPD. We conduct cutting edge clinical research with dedicated resources including full time clinical research coordinators and statistical assistance. Additionally, we have an IP fellowship training program that accepts one fellow per year offering a scholarly rich environment and opportunities for teaching and mentoring.

The selected individuals would join the Division of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine, and will be actively involved in our interventional pulmonology team. Responsibilities will include outpatient interventional clinic, weekly bronchoscopy block coverage, rotations through the inpatient interventional pulmonology services and active involvement in the lung cancer screening program.
