Job Details

Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, New Hampshire is seeking an academic surgical oncologist to join an established team. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to participate in patient care at DHMC and the Dartmouth Cancer Center (DCC), an NCI-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center. Board Certification in Surgery and advanced fellowship training in Complex General Surgical Oncology are required. Areas of clinical expertise needed are pancreas, liver, biliary tumors, melanoma, and sarcoma.

Departmental (section/division) leadership roles may available for qualified individuals, depending on level experience. Surgeon-investigators are favored for this position as multiple research opportunities are available in DCC as well as with other collaborators in The Dartmouth Institute for Health Policy and Clinical Practice, the Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth, and the Thayer School of Engineering. Dedicated research time/resources are available. The candidate will also be expected to be fully engaged in the teaching of residents and students. An academic appointment via Geisel School of Medicine will be at a rank commensurate with qualifications.

Required Licensure/Certifications

  • Board Certified/Board Eligible in General Surgery
  • Fellowship trained in Complex General Surgical Oncology
  • Must obtain and maintain a New Hampshire medical license
