The Department of Occupational Medicine at Dartmouth Health is seeking an Academic Occupational Medicine Physician to join their team. Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Emergency Medicine, and Occupational Medicine boarded providers with experience/familiarity with occupational medicine are encouraged to apply.
The OM Physician collaborates with the Medical Director in establishing and implementing health-related policies, procedures, and guidelines for all customers. In addition, the physician provides direct patient care for D-HH injured workers and complex workers' compensation cases, performs physical examinations for the Department of Transportation, Contracted pre-placement physicals, surveillance exams), and provides consultative services such as 2nd opinion, disability and work fitness evaluations. The physician also provides consultation for the associate providers, as well as to outside companies and DH-H health care providers concerning occupational medicine-related issues.
The physician also functions as the Medical Review Officer (MRO) for the DH-H Drug-Free Workplace program, as well as for employer-based client programs, and needs to have certification as a Medical Review Officer (MRO). An ideal candidate will also have or will be willing to get the FAA Aviation Medical Examiner, and independent medical and disability evaluator but they are not a requirement for consideration for this position.

Required Licensure/Certifications
What we're looking for:
- Two years of experience with a comprehensive occupational medicine program, including workers' compensation, medical surveillance, pre-placement and specialty screenings, infectious disease, toxicology, and industrial hygiene in a medical center-based setting.
- A wide array of knowledge concerning multiple regulatory agency requirements including ADA, OSHA, Workers' Compensation, JCAHO, CDC, and DOT.
- A collaborative and collegial physician who is able to operate as a part of a multi-disciplinary team both at our Main Campus at DHMC as well as our clinics in Manchester, and Cheshire Medical Center in Keene, NH.
