Position Description

Penn Medicine Princeton Health (PMPH), in conjunction with the Department of Surgery, is seeking a Section Chief of Vascular Surgery to grow their Cardiac and Vascular Surgery division. Recruitment is being done in cooperation with the existing private practice vascular surgeons and the Division of Vascular Surgery of UPenn Philadelphia.

This position offers an exciting opportunity for a highly skilled vascular surgeon, with strong leadership qualities, to bring their vision and energy to the development of a growing vascular practice. Responsibilities include in- and out-patient care of a wide array of vascular surgery patients and, as such, candidates should have an interest in providing the full spectrum of elective and emergency vascular surgical procedures. Opportunities for expansion of vascular surgical services are exceptional. Excellent surgical skills, clinical judgment and a passion for patient care are a must.

Princeton Medical Center has a state-of-the-art hybrid OR and, with the recent addition of elective angioplasty capabilities, PMPH is strategically focused on the development of this growing practice, which will consist of the Chief and one other employed physician. As a leader, the Chief must demonstrate the ability to influence and manage with high emotional intelligence, and possess strong clinical and interpersonal skills.

Selected candidates will be joining a network of primary and specialty care practitioners, including board certified internists, and family medicine physicians who specialize in preventive, routine, and acute care for adults and children. Furthermore, as a Penn Medicine physician at Princeton, you will be affiliated with the 231-bed state-of-the-art Princeton Medical Center (PMC), the cornerstone of a 171-acre healthcare campus that will house the future cancer center.

Penn Medicine Princeton (PMP) is just minutes from the downtown area and Princeton University. With its abundance of open space and vibrant community of people, Princeton offers wonderful cultural, intellectual and recreational opportunities. The region has some of the finest schools in the state and excellent housing in many area communities. Princeton is truly a "gem" in New Jersey.
