Burke Rehabilitation Hospital and White Plains Hospital (WPH), NY is seeking qualified candidates to join their Hospitalist Department, practicing exclusively at the Burke site located in White Plains, Westchester, NY (25 miles from Manhattan).  Position requirements include successful completion of an ACGME residency program in Internal Medicine and ABIM certification or eligibility. Preference will be given to those with a current New York State unrestricted medical license. This position will be full time Monday through Friday 8-hour shifts with no nights, weekends or on call.

The Hospitalist shall coordinate the in-patient care of patients who are hospitalized at Burke Rehabilitation Hospital.  Coordinating the hospital's resources (diagnostic, therapeutic and consultative) the Hospitalist shall ensure comprehensive high-quality service delivery. 

Burke Rehabilitation Hospital, is a 150 bed adult acute rehabilitation hospital and a member of the Montefiore Health System. Burke has been a leader in rehabilitation medicine for over 100 years. It offers both inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation care for the full range of neurological, musculoskeletal, cardiac, and pulmonary conditions resulting from illness, injury or surgery.   The Medical Hospitalist Service at Burke is staffed by WPH,  and provide medical consultative services.  Burke is accredited by the Joint Commission, the nation's oldest and largest standards-setting and accrediting body in health care, and the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities.

Salary: $240,000 - $280,000
