Cleveland Clinic Florida's Heart, Thoracic and Vascular Institute is seeking a BC/BE-trained vascular surgeon to join Cleveland Clinic Martin Health with hospitals located in Stuart and Port St. Lucie, FL as the Chair or the Division of Vascular Surgery.

Candidates for this position should demonstrate a record of clinical quality providing the full spectrum of vascular surgery. A record of leadership responsibility and management is preferred.

The candidate selected to fill the position will manage a group of four employed vascular surgeons and work with two independent practitioners. The chair will be tasked with solidifying the group practice, mentoring junior surgeons, expanding the breadth of services offered and leading quality outcomes initiatives. The chair will report to the Director of the Heart, Vascular and Thoracic Center. In the future the chair will participate in the possible development of general surgery and vascular surgery training programs.

Vascular surgery services are based at 2 of the 3 CCMH hospitals. One is in Martin County, the other in St. Lucie County. Both counties are rapidly growing, especially St. Lucie County which is one of the fastest growing communities in the country. The population growth is outstripping the growth of medical services and many complex vascular cases leave the county. This provides a unique opportunity for the chair to establish a referral practice.
