Neurointerventional Radiologist

The Neurosciences Institute at Cleveland Clinic Florida in Weston, Florida has a faculty position opening for an experienced and fellowship trained Neuroi nterventional Radiologist.

The successful candidate must be board certified by the American Board of Radiology with subspecialty CAQ certification in Vascular & Interventional Radiology or hold an IR/DR certificate from ABR. Applicants should enjoy a dynamic busy clinical practice, and be interested in teaching IR residents with opportunities for research.

The section of Interventional Radiology performs a wide spectrum of peripheral arterial and venous interventions including AAA endografts, as well as complex biliary, genitourinary, and GI interventional procedures. The section has a very active interventional oncology practice and performs the entire spectrum of liver directed arterial procedures including Y90 radioembolization and chemoembolization. Thermal ablation including RF ablation, cryoablation and microwave ablation of soft-tissue tumors are also performed. Other services include uterine fibroid embolization, prostate artery embolization, and an active pulmonary embolus response team (PERT). Ideal candidate should have advanced training in peripheral vascular intervention, hepatobiliary, genitourinary, embolotherapy, TIPS, dialysis access procedures and noninvasive vascular imaging including CTA and MRA. The section provides all image-guided tunneled and non-tunneled venous access, and is responsible for the maintenance of hemodialysis access for the institution. The interventional service also provides image guided biopsy and drainage procedure services for the institution. We support a busy transplant center that performs liver, kidney, and heart transplants.

We are well supported by dedicated IR nurses, IR technologists, 2 ARNPs, and an IR nurse clinic coordinator who helps with our interventional radiology clinic to ensure proper longitudinal clinical care.

The Cleveland Clinic is a nationally recognized multi-specialty group practice, and the Interventional Radiology section works closely with highly regarded specialists in Vascular Medicine and Surgery, Gastroenterology, Urology, Transplant, Colorectal Surgery, and Hematology/Oncology. We also participate in an ACGME approved IR Residency program with both Integrated and Independent residency tracks, both in cooperation with main campus Cleveland Clinic in Ohio.
