Nuvance Health Medical Practice, affiliated with Putnam Hospital Center, Danbury Hospital and part of Nuvance Health, is seeking a full-time Primary Care Physician to join our Brewster Primary Care practice in Brewster, New York (60 miles from New York City and 11 miles from Danbury, CT). The Village of Brewster in Putnam County, NY, is about an hour north of New York City, 30 minutes north of White Plains, and 10 minutes from Connecticut and the City of Danbury. It is reachable on the Harlem line of Metro North Commuter Railroad from NYC and accessible to I-84 and I-684. Our busy and long-established practice has 2 physicians and a LCSW. Position is outpatient office services only.

This is an employed position with Nuvance Health Medical Practice. We offer a competitive total compensation package including base salary, incentive pay, paid time off, CME time and allowance, medical, dental, vision, life, disability, and 401k match. Sign-on bonus and relocation stipend may also be available.

The ideal candidate will be a compassionate primary care physician who will provide comprehensive care in a team-based environment to our population of patients. This includes not only caring for acute and chronic conditions but working with multidisciplinary support staff to promote the health and well-being of our entire panel of covered lives. We utilize a state-of-the-art Electronic Health Record fully integrated across all our hospitals and sites.

Nuvance Health Medical Practice understands the importance of clinician wellness and is committed to “combatting “burnout” and ensuring a culture of support for all our employees, including virtual scribes and daily management systems.:

• Virtual scribes – to reduce charting time and enable clinicians to work top of license with more face-to-face time with their patients
• Daily Management Systems to ensure collaboration and problem solving occurs at the practice level – the clinicians and support staff know how best to solve for complex challenges

Job Requirements:

• MD or DO with CT and NY State License, Federal DEA in both CT and NY, and CT State Controlled Substance Registration
• Successful completion of Internal Medicine Residency
• Board Certified or Board Eligible
• After-hours coverage – light call volume, shared among multiple providers to decrease call frequency, phone-calls only (after nurse triages first line)
• Willingness to work Monday through Friday 8 AM – 5:00 PM
