The Department of Transplant at Mayo Clinic in Florida seeks a highly qualified transplant pulmonologist to join our expanding practice in a multidisciplinary program. Candidates must be board-certified/board-eligible by the American Board of Internal Medicine, Pulmonary Diseases, and Critical Care Medicine and have an interest in clinical service, research, and education. The Mayo Clinic Florida Department of Transplant provides some of the most comprehensive, innovative, and compassionate transplant medicine anywhere in the world. The Transplant Programs across the three Mayo Clinic sites in Florida, Arizona and Minnesota are known for their leadership in multidisciplinary and innovative approach to patient care, cutting edge transplant research, and post-graduate education.

The successful candidate will be part of our well-established and growing lung transplant program. Research engagement with an established portfolio is highly sought after, such as clinical trials, utilization of artificial intelligence or big data, equitable care, and regenerative medicine. There are unique opportunities to grow clinical medicine utilizing the Mayo Clinic Model of Care and have the opportunity to practice in one of the largest solid organ transplant programs nationwide as well as participate in development of transplant related innovation based in Mayo Clinic.

THE DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPLANT at Mayo Clinic in Florida is a large comprehensive solid organ multidisciplinary Transplant Center (approximately 500 solid organ transplants per year) located in Jacksonville, FL. It is part of the Mayo Foundation integrated Transplant program which encompasses solid organ transplant and BMT on all Mayo Clinic campuses — Jacksonville, Fla., Scottsdale, Ariz., and Rochester, Minn. — which together share common protocols and databases. This gives the Mayo Clinic Transplant Centers a broad geographic reach, enabling it to serve diverse patient populations and enabling it to have the largest Transplant program in the world. The campuses are also home to outstanding, internationally recognized physicians and scientists.

Candidates for this position must be board-certified/board-eligible Pulmonologist who possesses or who are eligible for State of Florida medical licensure.
