Interventional Cardiologist to Join UAMS Health in Little Rock, Arkansas

The rapidly expanding Cardiology Division in the Department of Internal Medicine is actively recruiting a faculty member to join UAMS Health in Little Rock, Arkansas. The candidate must be board-certified in cardiovascular disease and board-certified or board-eligible in interventional cardiology. The applicant is expected to demonstrate expertise in a broad variety of cardiac and complex coronary interventional procedures. Experience in clinical, translational, or basic research focused on interventional cardiology is highly desirable. The candidate will be expected to contribute to the clinical, educational, research, and administrative functions of the Cardiology Division.

Join a growing program with 15 faculty, 12 general fellows, 3 interventional fellows, and 2 electrophysiology fellows. Individuals with all levels of experience and seniority will be considered on a competitive basis. Compensation and benefits are highly competitive.

Position Details

• 1-2 Days in clinic, 2-3 days in lab
• 2 Cardiac catheterization laboratories
• Call rotation is 1:5
• Highly supportive and collegial environment within cardiology, as well as surgical specialties (Cardiothoracic, Interventional Radiology, and Vascular surgery)
• Active participation in general and interventional fellows’ education
• Increasing volume of high risk and complex coronary interventions
• Interested candidates have the opportunity to grow the peripheral program.

• Annual CME funding provided by the division. Engagement in inter and intra departmental research is encouraged
