Emergency Medicine Chief of Service Vice Chair

North Shore University Hospital (NSUH) – Northwell Health

The Northwell Health NSUH Emergency Medicine Department seeks a collaborative and inspirational physician leader to serve as its next Chief of Service Vice Chair. The Chief of Service Vice Chair will have the opportunity to advance an expanding and diverse academic tertiary site in the growth of its operational efficiencies and patient-centered care. This role has clinical oversight of the operations of the Emergency Department.

  • ACS verified Level I trauma center
  • 812-Bed tertiary teaching hospital that is academically affiliated with the Hofstra Northwell Health School of Medicine
  • 51 ED beds, seeing nearly 90,000 visits annually

The base salary range for this position is $150,000 to $750,000. The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be determined based on various factors, including but not limited to scope of role, level of experience, education, specialty/subspeciality, credentials, academic accomplishments, clinical productivity, quality metrics, patient experience, site/location internal equity, budget, and subject to Fair Market Value evaluation. The base compensation range listed is a good faith determination of potential base compensation at the time of this job advertisement and may be modified in the future.

Full-time clinical base compensation at Northwell Health ranges from $125K to $750K, which is impacted by various factors, including but not limited to physician specialty, level of experience, quality of care, academic accomplishments, patient experience and productivity.
