Associate Professor, Head of the Unit of otology, neuro-otology / audiology within the Service of oto-rhino-laryngoscopy and cervico-facial surgery

The oto-rhino-laryngology and head & neck surgery Service is looking for an Associate Professor, Head of the Unit of otology, neuro-otology / audiology. This is a unit, which is responsible for the care of patients with pathologies of the middle and inner ears, hearing problems, dizziness and facial paralysis. The Unit is also dedicated to expertise in hearing rehabilitation (conventional hearing aids, middle ear prosthesis, and follow-up before and after cochlear implants with the possibility of performing the implant surgery in Geneva).

Main missions:
• Manage the otology, neuro-otology / audiology Unit
•  Develop a high quality / performance research program with international recognition within the SENSE innovation and Research Center
• Offer cutting-edge education
• Provide expert advice to practitioners (doctors,dentists)
 Desired profile
• FMH specialist title or equivalent (Mebeko) in ENT and head and neck surgery
•  Federal diploma in medicine or title recognized by the Federal Commission for Medical Professions (Mebeko), MD or MD-PhD
• Proven expertise in the field of otology, neuro-otology / audiology
• Evidence of leadership in academic research in the field of neuro-otology and cortical auditory perception
• Significant experience in team leadership
• Academic knowledge of faculty rank with proven practice in pre and postgraduate teaching
• Ability to set up clinical research programs likely to be supported by expert external funds
• List of publications testifying of academic excellence
• Proficiency in French (level at least B2, C1 ideally) or ability to acquire it quickly
