Cleveland Clinic Florida's Heart, Vascular, and Thoracic Institute is currently seeking a highly qualified Board Certified/Board Eligible Cardiothoracic Surgeon­ to join its practice at the Cleveland Clinic Indian River Hospital located in Vero Beach, Florida.

The successful candidate will preferably have a minimum of 5 years of experience and be able to perform all aspects of Adult Cardiac and General Thoracic Surgery. This practice will be 90% cardiac and 10% thoracic. Surgeons at the institution offer expertise in minimally invasive valve surgery, off-pump coronary bypass, arrhythmia surgery, surgery for complex valvular heart disease and heart failure, mitral valve repair, thoracic aortic surgery, thoracoscopic lung resection and mediastinal surgery. Future goals include the development of a dedicated thoracic and foregut surgical program, including robotic assisted surgery. Endovascular and/or assist device experience is desirable but not a requirement.

The successful candidate will join one other cardiac surgeon in a program that is performing 200 open heart surgeries per year, plus 100 TAVR and mitral clips. Call will be 2:1. The Heart, Vascular, and Thoracic Institute at Cleveland Clinic Indian River Hospital is coordinating clinical care, research, education, and growth of Cleveland Clinic Florida's regional cardiothoracic surgery services in collaboration with the Cleveland Clinic Heart, Vascular, and Thoracic Institute in Ohio and Cleveland Clinic Indian River Hospital.
