The Cleveland Clinic Family Medicine Residency program is seeking a full-time faculty physician. If you are passionate about teaching and want to be an integral part of training the primary care workforce of the future then youve found the right position. We are seeking a family physician to join our collaborative, creative and experienced team.

This well-established community hospital residency is located within the Lakewood Family Health Center, a state of the art facility established in 2018 and fully equipped to provide an environment that supports team-based primary care. With a tradition of excellence since its inception, this highly successful residency is one of the first MD/DO accredited family medicine residencies established in the US.

Our residency has a 40+ year history of training many of the family doctors practicing in NE Ohio. Our residents excel in the vigorous and supportive learning environment of our 8-6-6 program which is growing to an 8-8-8 program.

Candidates with a career interest in osteopathic medical education are especially encouraged to apply. Responsibilities include teaching and supervision of residents and medical students and direct clinical patient care. Inpatient and outpatient skills are required. Residency faculty are members of the Cleveland Clinic Department of Family Medicine and have faculty appointments with Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine and Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine.

Our Approach to Family Medicine

We operate in a group practice model emphasizing precepts of population health and combining the best attributes of community-based primary care within an academic setting. The Center for Family Medicine (CFM), our residency clinic provides team-based medical care to about 10,000 patients with faculty and residents providing continuity care to their own patient panels.

All medical and subspecialty consults, e-consults, diagnostic, and therapeutic services are readily available throughout our Cleveland Clinic Health System. Our practice has a full spectrum of support for including Medical Assistants, Nurses, Advance Practice Nurses (APNs), Pharmacist, Counselor, Care Coordinators, Social Workers and Patient Navigators.
