Nuclear Medicine Staff Physician

The Cleveland Clinic Imaging Institutes Section of Nuclear Medicine is currently seeking a Nuclear Medicine physician.
  • Candidates must have a commitment to providing the highest quality and timely clinical care in a high volume clinical environment.
  • The successful candidate must be certified by the American Board of Nuclear Medicine and/or the American Board of Radiology with Special Competency in Nuclear Radiology.
  • Clinical experience with targeted radiopharmaceutical therapies is preferred.
  • Although not required, if the applicant is a diagnostic radiologist, clinical assignments in their area of expertise may be included.
  • A faculty appointment at a rank commensurate with academic accomplishments is available at the Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine of Case Western Reserve University.

The Nuclear Medicine Section at the Cleveland Clinic centrally reads over 50,000 studies annually from 32 different sites. There are 6 full time and 7 part time section physicians. The section possess an unusual depth of expertise with a dedicated team of Nuclear Medicine physicians, radiologists, scientists, and technologists working together to provide the best patient care. We have 7 fixed and 3 mobile PET/CT systems. We use both Rb-82 and N-13 ammonia for cardiac studies. There are dedicated SPECT and PET radiopharmacies and an onsite cyclotron at our main campus. Physicians are board-certified and clinically experienced in a broad array of specialties, including cardiology, neurology and radiology. The section is the primary location for Nuclear Medicine training of the 32 Diagnostic Radiology residents, rotating Radiology fellows, and the 1-2 yearly Nuclear Radiology candidates.

Attractive schedule with call shared among the section physicians 7 days a week till 9 pm. No night coverage required as there is a separate Nighthawk team to cover after-hours studies.

The Imaging Institute of Cleveland Clinic is one of the largest providers of imaging service within an academically oriented institution. The Imaging Institute interprets over 2.7 million exams annually and employs over 280 radiologists in 2 departments: Regional Radiology, and Diagnostic Radiology. The Institute has a strong bond with the Department of Radiology at Cleveland Clinic Florida, and provides administrative and consultative support to Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi (CCAD) and Cleveland Clinic London as needed.
