Catholic Health Services/St. Francis Hospital in Roslyn, NY is seeking Board-Certified Gastroenterologists to serve as Inpatient GI Hospitalists to join our successful, highly regarded, and growing Gastroenterology practices across Long Island. The ideal candidate/s will be well trained in all aspects of general Gastroenterology and have excellent interpersonal skills. Duties will be focused on the care of inpatients with gastrointestinal disorders. The chosen candidates will serve as GI consultants and will oversee a team of dedicated inpatient GI nurse practitioners.  Opportunities exist to establish an outpatient practice if desired. Requirements include:

  • BC Gastroenterology
  • NYS Licensed MD/DO
  • Proficiency in the medical and endoscopic management of a variety of GI disorders seen in the inpatient population, including but not limited to gastrointestinal bleeding, placement of enteral feeding tubes, food impactions, and other GI emergencies
  • Capsule endoscopy and/or balloon enteroscopy skills desired but not required
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage at all levels of the organization to promote a culture of patient safety and participate in performance improvement
