Hartford Hospital is an 868-bed tertiary academic center and the flagship hospital for Hartford HealthCare, a $4 billion health system and the second largest employer in CT. The Department of Medicine is the largest department at Hartford Hospital and is involved in the care for over 50% of the inpatient, critical care, and step down beds.
