Laboratory-based Investigator, Faculty Search

The Department of Medical Oncology at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute (DFCI) and the Brigham and Women’s Hospital (BWH) are inviting applications for an academic, wet laboratory, investigator position focused on basic and translational approaches to cancer. An interest in hematologic cancers, particularly lymphoid tumors, is of particular value, but not essential. The candidate must have an MD or MD/PhD and a proven track record of outstanding laboratory research in cancer. The successful candidate is expected to develop and lead an independent laboratory and take an active role in the Department’s multidisciplinary activities, where multiple opportunities exist for collaboration with basic, translational, and clinical researchers. Clinical work will depend on the candidate’s background and interest and is encouraged but not required; the primary focus will be on their laboratory research program.

The position is based in both the Department of Medical Oncology at the DFCI and the Department of Medicine at the BWH and includes collaboration with other institutions affiliated with the Dana-Farber/Harvard Cancer Center and the Harvard Medical School.

The investigator is expected to participate in Harvard University courses/workshops for students and fellows taught in the School of Medicine and supervise postdoctoral fellows and graduate students.

The academic appointment will be at the Instructor, Assistant, or Associate Professor level at Harvard Medical School and determined by the applicant's credentials. Salary and benefits will be competitive with other institutions.

Interested candidates should submit a letter of interest by email along with their CV, research statement, and the names and e-mail addresses of three references. Research statement should be maximum 2 pages with summary of past accomplishments and overview of future research plans. Applications may be sent by email to:
