Wound Care Physician, Fairfield County, Connecticut
Yale New Haven Health, the largest and most comprehensive healthcare system in Connecticut, is inviting BC MDs with training in Hyperbaric and Wound Care to join the service at Bridgeport Hospital
Responsibilities include assessment, evaluation, and treatment of patients, specifically those with acute and/or chronic wounds, ostomy management and education as well as management of fistulae, tubes, skin, and incontinence issues. Works in conjunction with physicians, nursing staff and ancillary staff to evaluate, propose, plan and perform patient assessment and treatments.
The Wound Care Physician oversees inpatient, outpatient wound services and the hyperbaric oxygen treatment. Perform teaching and quality control for the wound services and function as member of team to review wound services performance, policies and initiatives.
HBO (Hyperbaric Oxygen Treatment) Certified with Broad and in-depth technical knowledge and skills related to the practice of medicine, and wound care.

Qualifications
EDUCATION
Board certification in specialty preferably in surgery with added qualification in wound and hyperbaric medicine. Privileges at BH with all needed certificates and credentials.
EXPERIENCE
Wound care for at least two years.
LICENSURE
Board certification by ACGME approved board
