Denver Health Medical Center is seeking a Board Certified/Eligible Neonatologist. The successful candidate will be joining a group of four neonatologists. The Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Denver Health is a Level III NICU with 24 beds, an average of 325 admissions each year, and an average daily census of 17. Denver Health delivers more than 3,300 babies each year and has a Level I/II nursery operated by Pediatricians and Neonatologists. Denver Health also has a large pediatric inpatient unit and a thriving Pediatric Intensive Care Unit with pediatric intensivists.

The NICU is supported by four maternal-fetal medicine specialists and a full complement of on-site pediatric subspecialists including surgery, neurosurgery, radiology, anesthesia, and neurology. NICU staff provide clinical services including mechanical ventilation, HFOV, total body cooling, and 24-hour video EEG monitoring.

The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience (preferred not required) and demonstrate commitment to both excellent patient care and clinical education. We have ample opportunities to lecture, perform research, initiate quality improvement projects, and also to collaborate with our local neonatal colleagues. The successful candidate will also have mentoring responsibilities for junior faculty. Physicians at Denver Health are faculty members of the University of Colorado School of Medicine serve as teachers for students seeking clinical experience at Denver Health and provide education for post graduate medical trainees.
