University of Florida Seeking Gastroenterologist
The University of Florida Division of Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and Nutrition, part of UF Health, the Southeast's most comprehensive academic health center, invites applicants a full-time faculty position at the Assistant or Associate Professor rank.
The ideal applicant will be board certified or board eligible in Gastroenterology, with a focus in fellow and student education, and healthcare delivery and outcomes. Hepatology with a focus on liver transplant care, GI malignancy, motility disorders of the lower GI tract/pelvic floor, or general gastroenterology are particularly sought. Clinical duties would include weekly outpatient clinics, endoscopy, and staffing of the GI inpatient and consult services at UF Health Shands Hospitals. Teaching of fellows, residents, and students is expected.
Multiple collaborative research and clinical research opportunities exist in the areas of healthcare outcomes, artificial intelligence applications, GI malignancy, new technology development, obesity, motility disorders, gut microbiome, and many others. Multiple opportunities for educational scholarship exist for those interested in a career as a clinician-educator.
