Medical Oncologist

The MaineHealth Cancer Care Network (MHCCN) is seeking a full-time Medical Oncologist to join their well-established outpatient practice located at Southern Maine Health Care in Biddeford. 

Maine Medical Center’s Division of Medical Oncology and our statewide oncology program – the MaineHealth Cancer Care Network, is a coordinated system of care in which 11 MaineHealth partner hospitals and organizations work together to deliver the highest quality cancer care to patients as close to home as possible. The network provides a complete array of cancer care, including surgery, radiation, and chemotherapy.

The preferred candidate will be Board Eligible or Board Certified and Fellowship trained in Medical Oncology and Hematology and will work collaboratively with the Cancer Institute at Maine Medical Center and physician partners to ensure patients have access to the latest developments in their care, including a wide range of clinical trials.

Maine Medical Center has 700 licensed beds and is the state’s leading tertiary care hospital and Level One Trauma Center, with a full complement of residencies and fellowships and an integral part of Tufts University Medical School. The candidate would have an academic appointment at Tufts University School of Medicine, and the position involves teaching and mentoring residents and medical students from the Maine Medical Center-Tufts University School of Medicine Medical School Program.

Southern Maine Health Care (SMHC) is a member site in the MaineHealth system housing 150 licensed beds. SMHC has medical offices providing outpatient care located in Biddeford, Kennebunk, Saco, Sanford, and Waterboro.
