Job Details
NYPBMH is a 650-bed academic teaching program in Park Slope, Brooklyn with a full range of residencies and a hematology/medical oncology fellowship program. The successful candidate will join a growing Heme-Onc Division and practice in the institution's 400,000 square foot outpatient building, the Center for Community Health, whose top floor is devoted to hematology and medical oncology. The center includes a 32-chair infusion center and a dedicated clinical trials space.
The ideal candidate will have experience in caring for patients with lymphoma, myeloma, leukemia and other blood disorders and with clinical trial enrollment. We seek a dedicated and energetic clinician, clinical researcher, teacher, with the desire to expand a busy hematology program in Brooklyn, population 2.6 million, New York's largest borough.
Brooklyn is known for its' diverse neighborhoods that attract artists, professionals, singles and families, as well as visitors from all over NYC and around the world. Known for its' excellent public schools, Prospect Park, the Brooklyn Botanical Gardens, the Barclay Center, Brooklyn Bridge Park and in the borough's southern extremes, the surf is always up on Coney Island. As one of the most ethnically diverse urban areas in the world, Brooklyn can satisfy nearly every taste. Foodies covet everything from the world's best pizza to authentic Caribbean cuisine, Italian cuisine, Asian cuisine, BBQ, and Nathan's Famous has been serving its' world-famous hot dogs on Coney Island since 1916.Brooklyn truly has something for everyone.
The salary range for this position is $315k to $400k. This compensation range does not include our amazing benefits and any incentive payments, based on quality measures and productivity, that may be applicable to this role. Full/Associate/Assistant Professors are encouraged to apply. Faculty rank commensurate with experience.
