Assistant Professor/Research

The Division of Hospital Medicine in the Department of Medicine, Joe R. & Teresa Lozano Long School of Medicine at UT Health San Antonio (UTHSA) is recruiting a Clinical Investigator. This position will hold an appointment of Assistant Professor/Research or higher. Appointment rank will be commensurate with academic accomplishments and experience. Successful candidates will have a track record or background skills in health services or health systems research, value-based healthcare, T3/T4 translational research, patient centered outcomes research, or biomedical informatics, and a career goal to excel as a researcher in hospital medicine. 

A portion of this position involves clinical work on housestaff and non-housestaff services at University Hospital as well as participating in medical student and resident education and other scholarly activities. Candidates must have an MD or DO degree, completed 3 years of an ACGME certified Internal Medicine residency, and be board eligible/certified in Internal Medicine. In addition, must be licensed by the Texas Medical Board and maintain a certification by the Drug Enforcement Administration for credentials with UTHSA and University Hospital.
