Position Summary:
The University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC) Division of Cardiology is currently seeking an Advanced Heart Failure Cardiologist to develop and lead our Advanced Heart Failure Program.

Duties & Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include supporting the inpatient cardiology service, advanced heart failure, and the ambulatory clinic. Qualified candidates will have a strong background in cardiovascular medicine, have completed ACGME-accredited cardiovascular disease and heart failure fellowship programs, hold ABIM certification or board eligibility in cardiovascular disease and advanced heart failure and transplant cardiology. In addition to the skills as noted, the successful candidate will be expected to provide leadership, mentorship, and training to medical students, residents and/or fellowship trainees. Salary is commensurate with experience.

The ideal candidate will possess substantial clinical experience in the field of Advanced Heart Failure and Mechanical Circulatory Support. Proficiency in ECMO and short-term and long-term mechanical support strategies including ventricular assist devices (VADs) is expected. The incumbent will collaborate with multiple stakeholders ranging from physicians and surgeons to front line staff to provide exceptional patient care and leadership.

Qualifications:
Candidates should be Board certified/Board eligible in Advanced Heart Failure and Transplant Cardiology.
