Tufts Medical Center is seeking a Director for the Division of Urogynecology to join our expanding team of collaborative physicians.

The Tufts Urogynecology program includes two incredibly talented young surgeons and one very experienced nurse practitioner who are dedicated to patient care, advancing the field and educating the next generation. Dr. Evie Hall brings a passion for optimizing patient experience coupled with superb surgical skills and Dr. Tsung Mou is a clinician scientist interested in addressing disparities in pelvic floor function both through clinical practice, surgery, and research. They are partnering with community practices to meet the demands of the region. We are looking for a leader for this incredibly strong, energetic team to improve patient access, teach, and expand research and quality endeavors.

Tufts Medical Center is the tertiary center for Tufts Medicine which also includes Melrose Wakefield Healthcare and Circle Health (Lowell General Hospital). The position will be primarily based at Tufts Medical Center, but all faculty will have significant off-campus clinical activities within Tufts Medicine to support our network partners.

How you'll transform patient care:
  • Devoting 60% effort to clinical work and 40% effort to administrative tasks, education of medical trainees, and academic pursuits
  • Providing leadership and vision in strategic planning in collaboration with other divisions and departments throughout the institution
  • Supervising the day-to-day clinical activities of the provider team and clinic with the support of the clinic's practice and nursing managers
  • Providing high-level oversight of other affiliated practices including building and maintaining good working relations with local community-based physicians as well as outlying referring physicians and hospitals
  • Ensuring the provision of high-quality teaching to medical students, residents, and other learners
  • Managing the division's clinical units and finances, including budget planning and oversight, productivity, performance metrics, and compensation planning
  • Ensuring that faculty members remain active participants in the affairs of the department and medical staff, overseeing their academic and professional development
  • Collaborating across disciplines to provide leadership and vision in strategic planning throughout the institution
  • You'll join a well-established group with support from nurse practitioners, physician colleagues and clinical nurse navigators
  • You'll provide comprehensive patient care to our multicultural, inner-city population, as well as support community-based care at our affiliates in the suburbs of the Greater Boston area
  • You'll have the opportunity to perform robotic and minimally invasive gynecological surgery
  • You'll join and contribute to a work environment that is flexible and in-tune with the desires of a modern workforce that values work/life balance

  • Research interest is preferred and supported. The department has dedicated biostatistical and coordinator support

Who you are:
  • Experienced in supervising physicians and non-clinical staff; capable of managing to yield outstanding patient outcomes, patient satisfaction/safety, and successful financial results
  • Board certified in OB/GYN and Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery
  • Excellent clinical and surgical skills
  • Interest in working with a diverse patient population
  • In pursuit of an academic career and interested in resident and student teaching, entering at an Associate Professor, or Full Professor
  • Passion for delivering high quality urogynecologic care
  • A team player who is excited to work cooperatively with a wide range of stakeholders and disciplines to champion world class patient satisfaction and support
  • Ability to obtain or current medical license in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts
